Background
Minute Maid Zero Sugar had experienced supply chain issues following the launch of the product, and was prepared to finally launch their first global campaign.
With Great Taste and Zero Sugar, Minute Maid Zero Sugar didn’t need a big celebrity like Jon Hamm to help sell it to people. But they got Jon Hamm anyways. We needed to launch Minute Maid Zero Sugar, and raise awareness to make sure that everyone knew Minute Maid Zero Sugar has the greatest tasting zero sugar of any zero sugar juice drink out there. And, also use Jon Hamm.
Execution
The ad, which is promoting Minute Maid's new line of zero-sugar juice drinks, shows Hamm hoping to develop the commercial's character, but there's no script — and no direction. It's about nothing, because well, there's zero sugar, and it tastes so good that the product sells itself.
