Description
The Swedish Sea Rescue Society, a non-profit organization, wanted to increase sea safety with the help of the web and mobile phones. Many accidents at sea occur due to boat owners paying insufficient attention to weather forecasts. So we developed a new type of 'Sea Weather' especially for pleasure boaters.
For the first time it’s possible to see how the sea looks under different weather conditions. Pictures are much more emotional than numbers. To see the waves and the wind increases respect for the sea's dangers, which positively impacts sea safety.

Outcome
The mobile app was the no 1 top free app in Sweden the same day as it was released, ahead of apps from Facebook, Skype, Ikea and Spotify.
