Description

The Uncarriable Carrier Bags main objective was to make people re-think the use of plastic carrier bags in their daily lives and consider their negative impact in the environment.

Execution

Silhouettes of controversial objects under the themes of ‘Robber’, ‘Junkie’, ‘Sex Addict’ and ‘Terrorist’ were printed on the bags creating a visual illusion that rendered the carrier bags un-carriable.

Outcome

The bags quickly caught the attention of the media and were showcased and discussed on multiple design and environmental blogs and also on mainstream media. From the Guardian in the UK, to television shows in Canada and Japan.
