Description
Instead of creating a TV commercial, we launched a whole new subsidiary of V Energy Drink called V-Rentals. V-Rentals is part rental company, part rewards program, where people can rent things in exchange for drinking our product. The more V they drink… the more they can rent.
But we don’t rent hatchbacks or jackhammers, we rent things like ‘Monkey Butlers’ for a house party, ‘Bodybuilder Removalists’ to help you move house and ‘Jacuzzi Trucks’ because, well… why not?
With V-Rentals, V became more than just an energy drink. It became a platform where our drinkers could experience our brand promise of ‘Making the everyday Awesome’. And, importantly for the client we set up a direct link between consuming the product and living our brand promise. A position no other brands in the category can claim.
Execution

Outcome
Since launching V-Rentals the response has been fantastic. We had over 250,000 unique visitors to our online shop front within the first few weeks. Over 6,000 requests have been made for our rentals and they are starting to be seen out and about. We’ve had Unicorn Chauffeurs taking people to pubs, Monkey Butlers at BBQs and a groom even got married with a mini version of himself. We not only created an ad campaign but a series of walking billboards for the brand.
