Description

In this film, we take a familiar static Facebook post and extend it into a narrative form, using it’s elements to create a new visual storytelling language.

Our story chronicles the journey of a young man and his girlfriend as they travel to her family’s home for U.S. Thanksgiving. As the day unfolds, we see the man’s inner monologue unfold through the visual language of a Facebook post. As is common with busy travel days, the trip is fraught with problems. Coupled with holiday stress and the anxieties that come with meeting a significant other’s family, the situation tests their relationship.

The story culminates with the couple arriving at the family home. The young man’s emotions, once in a flurry, have now settled as he is greeted with open arms by her family.

The film concludes by leveraging Facebook’s most universally asked question ‘What’s on your mind?’ as a tagline.
