Scotch Super Glue 3M is the glue with the higher quality perception in Guatemala, but also the most expensive. It had trouble convincing 70% of its target; people that earn US$500 per month, and make its decisions based on price and not quality. We had to be where that 70% were doing their shopping, creating the only place impossible to resist to this target: A discount store. Scotch Super Glue 3m Presents: ReStore.
Effectiveness
- Over 10,000 people visited the store;
- We renewed stock three times;
- We increased our sales by 5%;
- Never selling something broken was so successful. And best of all, we demonstrated that Scotch Super Glue 3M leaves everything like new, and it is worth it’s cost.
Execution
We were featured on the news, publications and TV shows about crafting and home economics.
Strategy
We collected damaged products from decoration houses that weren't able to sale them, and in the most popular mall in the city we opened a store where we sold broken items at the price of a Super Glue pack. Instead of saying how good the product was, we made it inevitable to test it.
