1,752 million AIDS victims per year means: every 18 seconds somebody dies of AIDS.Based on this fact we used billboards together with foam-producing machines in order to communicate this frightful death rate to its full extent.

On the billboards we displayed the names of the AIDS victims.Behind the billboards we installed machines to produce foam and nourished it with helium.

This foam was pressed through a cross shaped stencil and was cut after 18 seconds.

By doing so we let foam-crosses rise to the sky. Every 18 seconds one cross. Each representing one person who died of AIDS.
