CampaignDescription
Carbon monoxide detectors are expensive. That is why we created a solution affordable for everyone. Thanks to Pepco, Lewiatan and Zlote Tarasy we turned 28,850,000 leaflets into “vent inspection ads”. We have added simple information to their printed ads: “If you place a piece of paper against a properly working vent inlet, it will stick. If it doesn’t, the vent is blocked and you have to call for help”.
“Vent inspection ads” instructed Poles to put the leaflet to the vent, in order to keep their family safe. This simple hack was used in many Polish homes and gave the families a peace of mind.
Execution
We turned 28,850,000 leaflets into “vent inspection ads”. We have added a short information to direct advertising of the biggest Polish retailers’: “If you place a piece of paper against a properly working vent inlet, it will stick. If it doesn’t, the vent is blocked and you have to call for help”.
Outcome
We convinced our clients to turn millions of their leaflets into vent-inspection ads. An ordinary sheet of paper has become a simple technology, saving lives all over Poland.
We distributed 28,850,000 vent-inspection ads in 3,500 stores.
Relevancy
Advertising leaflets are direct in a pure form. We've turned 28,850,000 ordinary leaflets into life-saving hacks.
Strategy
The problem of carbon monoxide poisoning occurs mainly in the homes of less wealthy Poles, who have old stoves and vent systems. Such people are often price-sensitive, and they pay attention to promotional leaflets.
Synopsis
Every year, more than a hundred people die of carbon monoxide poisoning in Poland, and nearly two thousand get seriously ill, mostly in poor and moderately wealthy families.
One of the main causes of poisoning is a malfunctioning vent system. There are fancy hi-tech systems that can save from carbon monoxide poisoning, but not everyone can afford it.
