BriefWithProjectedOutcomes
There has been a long debate in Gender Equality Right in Chile, but nothing is really happening. The conservator sector isn't showing any advance in making our country a place that represents all of it's citizens.
CampaignDescription
On Twitter, we can change our names to the gender we want. 3 hours before the Academy Awards, Súbela Radio changed its Twitter name to Daniela Vega and tweeted to join the cause.
Execution
A simple tweet at the right time, capable of drawing the attention of the public, the media and influencers.
Outcome
Thousands of people changing their usernames.
Trending Topic,
Hundreds of Media impressions.
A RESPONSE FROM THE PRESIDENT CALLING THIS AN "EXTREME URGENT LAW".
Strategy
Touch the core of the audience with something unique: their own names.
Invite them to be a part of it changing their usernames on Twitter.
The campaign aired just before the transmission began, giving us perfect timing.
Synopsis
In Chile, transgender people can’t change their names in their IDs.
A main character of this problem is Daniela Vega, the transgender actress of the Chilean film "A Fantastic Woman", nominated for an Oscar.
Subela Radio is one of the main influence in Chile's progressive audience and wanted to take part on a cause that represents it's on values.
