Background
Wildlife around the world is under severe threat. Poaching and hunting have pushed hundreds of species to the brink of extinction.
But people living in cities fail to understand the abuse these innocent creatures have to endure.
So, the question is -
How can Wildlife SOS, an emerging wildlife conservation organization educate masses on the topic of wildlife abuse in a cost-effective manner?
Beyond education and awareness, the campaign should also drive people to the Wildlife SOS website.
Describe the creative idea
Animals do not have a voice to protest the abuse. But people do. So, Wildlife SOS wanted to encourage people to give their voice to the animals.
Describe the execution
A unique way to achieve the above was through comic inspired ‘’speech blurbs’’. A visual device widely used to connote speech and conversation. We created unique animal-inspired artworks using this device, thus visually bringing speech and animals together. The idea, therefore, went on to illustrate the fact that now even these animals can have a voice.
The use of minimalistic art, colours and font-style helped the campaign develop a simple yet distinctive identity. And the simplistic design-style further enhanced its effectiveness through the outdoor mediums.
List the results
Apart from generating awareness amongst viewers, the ‘’Voiceless Victims’’ poster campaign managed to achieve and maintain healthy traffic towards the WILDLIFE SOS website, thus helping the brand add more people to the noble cause.
