C.O.R.E. Ops was prominently launched on goarmy.com and became the lead story across our social platforms, garnering public attention and participation. Army fitness influencers added fuel to the awareness with word-of-mouth recommendations and social sharing.

The C.O.R.E. Ops experience is designed to be played on your mobile phone, desktop or tablet. Each mission can be streamed or downloaded as a simple mp3, guaranteeing a flexible experience to work with your needs.

Outcome

In the first five months after launch, over 475,000 users interacted with the C.O.R.E. Ops experience with more continuing to come back to engage.

Strategy

The success of the U.S. Army depends on the sharp minds and able bodies of their soldiers. However, while it’s easy to recruit for the right intellect, it’s not as easy to recruit for a fit physique. Adding to this challenge has been the rise in unfit young adults and decline of qualified Army prospects.

We had to find a way to get a young generation struggling with the obligation to exercise, motivated to get in shape and qualify for the U.S. Army.

To do this we created a holistic fitness program made of diverse challenges, guided encouragement, recovery tips and ways to evolve with the experience. We transformed routine workouts into fun and immersive fitness missions.
