A teenager discovers a fabulous creature and takes a picture of it. When he posts the unique snapshot on social media, it spreads like wildfire and everyone falls in love with the little creature from the forest that soon gets the name “Gnu Gnu”. But the hype also has its downsides: researchers are looking for gnu gnu and a few people start to fear that the creature could be dangerous.

In the middle of nowhere. A young man is riding his bike through the forest. Suddenly, he sees a little sparkle between the trees. He stops. He takes a closer look and recognizes a strange being: a cute looking mystical creature, who peers back at him curiously. He pulls out his Huawei and focuses on the creature.The smartphone automatically switches into portrait mode, increases the light and offers a terrific picture. The man hits the shutter button. From now on, things move fast: the picture appears on Instagram, is shown on the news. The hype continues. Fan-shirts start selling like crazy, muffins are baked in the form of the creature, some teenagers are queuing up outside barbers’ to mimic the creature’s hairstyle. Curious onlookers swarm into the valley. The army appears on the scene, hunts on and catches the creature. It dithers and struggles – and is removed in a helicopter. Finally, we see it sitting sadly in a cage in a zoo, surrounded by a huge crowd. A chubby, mean boy spits cherry stones at the creature and laughs. Cut back to the beginning. The young man and the creature are alone again. He gets closer and bestows a loving glance on it, his head slightly tilted. He smiles. He deletes the picture. The creature escapes into the forest.
