BriefExplanation
Ronseal is well known for its honest approach to advertising
and famous strapline, “Does exactly what it say on the tin” .
At the start of the football Season and during the World Cup, Ronseal took a straight talking approach one step further with its “Let’s be honest football’s more interesting the DIY” campaign.
This honest insight allowed Ronseal to spoof Sky Sports post match interviews with players and mangers. Instead of talking about the game they were talking about DIY and Ronseal products.
Comedians Darren Farley and Paul Reid brought the campaign to life with impersonations of well know players and managers.

SPORTS SHOW HOST: We asked a Premiership manager about his painting his door.
MANAGER: Uh, if we talk about doors, we must talk about the big door up front. It is number one. Can't question that. Its finish, I think that is perfect. The way it opens up houses is unbelievable. When we are at home, performance - amazing. Some people will knock my door but for me, for next ten years, door can be special one.
ANNCR: Let’s be honest, football’s more interesting than DIY. So get the job done. Ronseal
