Why is this work relevant for Entertainment?

It was pure entertainment because when we invited the partcipants to creat and litteraly film the first commercial made inside the program, we created unprecedant content inside the reality, that was watched for millions of espectators

Background

The reality Big Brother is something crazynees in Brazil. The all coutry stops to watch, vote and participate to the program. In social midia no theme is more relevant than the “Brothers” life inside the house.

At the same time all the brands stay waiting the end of the reality to hire the participants to do their commercials by high vallues

McDonald’s é one of the brands that sponsoring the Big Brother Brazil and people keep waiting for what McD is gonna do in the program. So we decided to use one of our activations to do something was never done before.

McDonald's was going to launch its new Premium Sandwiches during the Big Brother Brazil period, so we decided to do something unprecedented. Produce the first commercial using Big Brother contestants before they leave house.

Describe the creative idea

For the first time, a brand was able to not only do product placement, but film an entire commercial inside Big Brother. Through Big Brother's cameras, we invited participants to react while eating the new McDonald's launch and enjoying it for real. We created a set and a complete film set and also invited them to create and produce the commercials in a never-before-seen format. The captured images were edited and became our commercials on TV and social media

Describe the strategy

Create at the same time something that would work as an entertainment on the reality show. And at the same time generate scenes and content for us to produce and broadcast the first commercial made with the participants within the program

Describe the execution

Using the show cameras we created a set and a complete film set and also invited them to create and produce the commercials in a never-before-seen format. The captured images were edited and became our commercials on TV and social media.

Describe the outcome

• The new sandwich had a record sale off a premium launch in the last five years

• During the activation the name of the sandwich went on Twitter trending topics

• Several possitive metions on social media and record of orders in the app in the first day of a sandwich launch.
