To secure distribution and sales in the peak beverage season - summer - drawing attention with tie-in promotion with the summer's biggest film, Star Wars Episode 3, a promotion of grand scale maximising PEPSI's presence.

Outcome

Results were overwhelming with over twice the usual distribution, and 4 times the sales at participating channels. Top class number of entries for buy-and-enter sweepstakes and self-liquidating offers among PEPSI promotions held in recent years, a huge contribution to repeat purchase. All premiums offered are PEPSI originals.

Solution

Centred on Episode 3, but integrating the stories and characters of the entire Star Wars saga, and integrating various promotion mechanisms, a promotion with unprecedented impact was implemented.
