Describe the creative idea
The creative idea was to reflect the diverse content of the YouTube brand by building a library of countdowns for use by creators to generate excitement for YouTube Premieres. Each video had to be 10 minutes long, be available at 4k, and include a ramp up in animation and audio for the last 10 seconds to indicate the start of the Premiere. The library should reflect a diversity in tone, medium, and creator.
Describe the execution
In order to build the library we partnered with some of our favorite artists in what quickly became an artist in residency program. It was important that our artists' diverse voices came through in their countdowns so we kept creative direction to a minimum as long as they met the guidelines we laid out in the brief.
