In circumstances where the most common and ineffective method of collecting donations is manual collecting money, we came up with an innovative and funny way of fundraising that utilises recycling in its full potential. We packed it in a form of a vending machine, using its association with cans and simplicity of use. Thanks to that, our reversed vending machine not only triggered donations from people that generally don’t donate money, but also informed the public about different activities that Polish Humanitarian Action participates in.
Outcome
We’ve created an innovational form of donating and thanks to that we reached people, who basically do not have much money, therefore they are not involved in helping. But the most important success of our action was that we’ve created a new 'place holder' in high schools and gave young people a chatting subject. Thanks to the innovation idea we captured the interest of young people in areas of Polish Humanitarian Action work. And other machines are on the way.
