The focus was portraiture, intimacy and human emotion with a hint of subtle poetry. I shot handheld to make it more tactile and intimate. I never wanted to leave the faces of our cast. To create an intensity but not force it. I worked very closely with the cast, running takes over and overusing a myriad of devices to put them in the scenes, and making sure they accessed genuine emotion within their psyche.
