Through a mix of lighting and set design we achieved a dark and intense atmosphere. But more technically we shot using the 16mm sensor mode of a Phantom camera. It’s quite uncommon as you usually prefer the whole sensor. Thanks to the high frame-rate possibilities we preferred to shoot at 400fps. All this to achieve a perfect balance between freezing time and having enough motion when isolating the moments of meeting a stranger. The kiss scene is shot in reverse because you can’t really risk smashing the camera into the kisser's face. Reversed shots have been used in the toilet film as well - you can’t really notice the difference when it’s slow motion. Only the arm hair close up in this film is full CGI. Where the only challenge left was to match the speed and light of the rest of the film.
