Description
We were asked to develop a radio ad to communicate the campaign designed to encourage BES’ customers to sign up for a digital statement, rather than the current paper statement. In return for this small environmentally-friendly gesture, BES announced that it would plant one tree in Portugal for each customer who opted for a dematerialised bank statement.
For this campaign, we created a revised version of the Monty Python sketch – 'The Lumberjack Song'. In our version, a lumberjack is naturally someone who waits to receive his paper statement at home. The chorus of other lumberjacks rail at him precisely for this reason. The music is inspired by Monty Python’s 'Lumberjack Song'.
