Description
What better way than through the beautiful (and emotional) game. Bringing together a group of diverse clients to cheer and weep in one room...a perfect example of the power of emotion to unite and bond.
In a nod to the location of the World Cup 2018, we hit on the idea of creating a set of Russian Dolls showing the 7 emotions experienced by every fan the world over. A unique idea that would act as the basis of our invite.
Execution
We searched on Instagram for the best illustrators out there, identifying Cassie Stevens for her unique, irreverent style and skilled depictions of emotion. We created a visual brief of the facial expressions of fans feeling that specific emotion and Cassie handpainted two sets of dolls, depicting a range of nations each demonstrating the relevant emotion.
We then photographed the dolls and created a printed invite to send to our clients
One set to Cannes, and one set to act as a prize for the winner of the sweepstake we will hold with attendees.
Outcome
100 invites sent. 20 acceptances. A perfect opportunity for us to convey the power of emotion without a presentation in sight.
