CampaignDescription
A clear and bold typographic poster the headline (which hints at Turner Duckworth) and the actual turned up corner of the poster invites interaction from NUCA's students.
Execution
Graphic, bright, confident but most importantly simple the final poster presents the lecture itself and Turner Duckworth as an agency in a way that is true to both.
Outcome
The lecture was a full house and was received so positively by staff and students that we decided to contact other Universities to deliver the talk to and reproduce the poster for those venues. After lecturing at UCLAN, Falmouth University and Northumbria School of Design additionally to NUCA, the poster has become collectible series.
Strategy
To be most effective we knew that we had to engage students both visually and with approachable ‘student friendly’ language with our call to action that this is a lecture 'worth turning up for’.
Synopsis
Turner Duckworth recognise that design students are the future of the industry and believe in a culture of giving back and nurturing new talent. While our Creative Directors regularly deliver lectures to students we noticed it was very rare that young designers with 5 or 6 years within the industry delivered such talks. Knowing what a big step it is from student to first time employment, two of our young, successful designers approached NUCA (the University they attended) to deliver such a talk. To promote the talk we designed an A2 poster to be displayed around the University.
