OVERVIEW

CampaignDescription

The first poster was inspired by the original brief 100 years ago, for the bottle design to be so distinctive that it was recognizable even when broken. An added detail is that the fragments use part of the Coke script to form the number 100.

The second poster celebrates the 100-year success of the Contour Bottle. The cuts in the number reveal a transparent bottle.

The third poster is an interplay of positive and negative of the icon and it's birthday candles.

Execution

Digital illustration.

Outcome

The posters appeared at the High Museum in Atlanta along side 130 world-renowned artists, designers & illustrators celebrating the icons birthday. A limited edition book was published, Kiss the Past Hello: 100 Years of the Coca-Cola Contour Bottle, celebrating the history of the world’s most famous package.

Synopsis

In 2015, Coca-Cola commemorated the 100th anniversary of their iconic Contour Bottle. We were challenged with developing poster designs that provide a modern interpretation of the Contour Bottle, celebrate its rich history, but also looked forward to its future.
