This work is relevant because it clearly and forcefully shows that vaping is the same killer as smoking, but with a different appearance.

We found serial killers globally recognized for their atrocities and murders such as: Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy and Charles Manson.

After a thorough search we found real photos of these killers who changed their appearance over time, but not their need to kill silently. These were killers recognized worldwide for their crimes, whose modus operandi was to go unnoticed so as not to get caught.

This campaign seeks to raise awareness of the problem of vaping not only within the border of Ecuador, but to the rest of the world, since recent studies have brought to light data that affirms that vaping is just as murderous as cigarettes, but with a different aspect.

Situation:

Vape consumption has dramatically increased worldwide

Brief:

In 2023, Clinica Guayaquil, recorded a 45% increase in patients with respiratory complications. Studies conducted by the clinic determined that a large part of this percentage presented lung damage due to toxic residues caused by vape inhalation, requesting a graphic campaign to warn society of this new covert killer.

Objectives

Warn society that the deaths vaping can cause are just like smoking. It’s the same killer with a different look.

Clinica Guayaquil advertised the campaign in traditional media warning society about the consumption of vaping, and sent the graphic pieces to all its patients, smokers and non-smokers alike. In the days following the launching of the campaign, examinations and consultations in the clinical area received a considerable increase in pulmonary and cardiovascular studies.
