Marking the second year of a technology partnership with the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing Formula One team, motor oil brand Mobil 1's new campaign features the team's driver, Max Verstappen.

The film features 124 heavyweight boxers punching in unison - a representation of the g-force experienced by F1 drivers. It features the music Intermezzo from the opera Cavalleria Rusticana - better known from the soundtrack of Raging Bull.

F1 is one of the most ruthless sports in the world in which drivers experience unbelievable forces of up to 5G and speeds of over 375 km/h. The work tells the story of the extreme forces that Aston Martin Red Bull racing driver Max Verstappen endures in every race. In the film, Verstappen literally faces down 124 heavyweight boxers to demonstrate the relentless g-forces he experiences on the track. It’s followed by an apology from Mobil 1 for delivering engine performance that will make his job even more extreme.

The director wanted the film to truly emphasise the brutal g-forces Max Verstappen faces during each race, i.e, the equivalent of 124 heavyweight punches. To achieve this, we filmed everything in camera with 124 heavyweight boxers choreographed in unison to deliver each blow. The boxers were arranged in such a way that they represented different parts of a racing track such as the bends and the home straights. In the close-up scenes a stuntman was hit by the boxers to add to the drama.

The grade mimicked that of a night race and isolated Max to showcase the action of Max vs 124 heavyweights.
