This brand campaign launches a new era of the B&O brand, under the banner “Exist to Create”. This platform pays homage to the constancy of care in honest materials and conscientious design choices that are at the heart of the Bang & Olufsen brand. In the campaign we take the viewer on a journey of materials, craft and design, showcasing Bang & Olufsen’s stunning new product range immersed in 3D worlds which take inspiration from each device’s mood and form.

Each film is a purely CG 3D animation created with a combined pipeline workflow of Houdini and Cinema4D software. The key challenge in this project was abstracting the physicality of the products and their specific features. For example, with the Beovision Harmony, much of the product’s power comes from its performative choreography, so we looked for various ways to recreate this feeling. In the case of a product like the H9 headphones, features like noise-cancellation came into play. The challenge here was to visually describe this cancelling effect; reducing the product into abstractions of its original structure.
