Web3 offers many opportunities, but there are risks too. Particularly in legal terms, much of this is new territory and leads to copyright issues, scams and scandals. A global group of lawyers has now joined forces as a virtual law firm under the name web3lex. We were tasked with developing a cross-media identity and digital offerings for this interesting new endeavour.

An open Wiki page answers specific legal questions and provides contact to international lawyers. More than that you can experience legal consulting straight away in the metaverse. An open lobby features meetups and sessions. And you can meet law experts for a virtual one-to-one consulting session in token-gated conference rooms. With this service the virtual law firm offers one of the first real, monetizable metaverse-only services.

A dynamic yet straight forward digital identity was created to link social media, web1 and web3/the metaverse together in one seamless interactive experience.

The process started in November 2022 with the first beta version to be launched for testing with the law expert contributors in February 2023 and V1 launch in March 2023. The first NFTs are about to be issued in April 2023.

We built the virtual law firm with the Spatial platform because it offers direct web-access and is very quick in response and display of content and interactivity. The tokens are time-and event-based and are sold on the OpenSea platform.

First of all this is a completely new service. Therefore we walk on new paths in terms of meeting data-proven KPIs. Nevertheless the expectations are high: web3lex wants to enable a new quality of legal councelling for web3 inside web3 – and address a new generation of lawyers and clients. Its monetizable and highly scalable business model (selling clients meeting room time with a global highly specialized clientele) is actually in a test phase. However the first results are very promising – by the time of this entry – one month after the start - the number of joining professional contributors has already doubled and the buzz on linkedIn is growing.
