The task was to communicate to the people that the Volkswagen Crafter is big while the Volkswagen Fox is small and fits in everywhere.
Effectiveness
During the promotion period of two shopping weekends, nearly 4.000 people received the message. And everyone Volkswagen reached in this way belonged to either the Fox or the Crafter target group.
Implementation
Most cars are really good at one specific thing. The Volkswagen Crafter, for example, is big. That’s practical because plenty of things fit inside. The Volkswagen Fox, on the other hand, is small. And that is also practical because it simply fits in everywhere. That is why Volkswagen decided to combine the messages of these two characteristics and thus attract some attention with a spectacular promotion in a number of crowded shopping streets. In addition, we also invited interested people there to check out the cars and get more information from a brochure.
Relevancy
With that idea Volkswagen was able to attract attention with an unseen car combination. Because at first, they reached the people around this shopping area who had just wasted time finding a parking space with their bigger cars. And second, the shop owners who could use a big car for plenty of things fit in. Apart form that, the setting was just perfect to simply and quickly get both messages across.
