Background:
SITUATION
Hemophilia is an inherited bleeding disorder in which the blood does not clot properly, leading to spontaneous bleeding as well as bleeding following injuries or surgery.
BRIEF
The Estonian Society of Hematology required a print advertisement to raise awareness about hemophilia among the wider population.
OBJECTIVES
The objectives were to raise awareness about hemophilia using traditional channels while also providing a creative and outstanding solution.
Describe the Impact:
The goal of our social campaign was not to boost sales, but to raise awareness about hemophilia. We were successful in achieving our goal as the campaign spread from print to social media, leading to a significant increase in people's awareness about this blood disorder. Furthermore, the idea and execution of the campaign received praise from individuals with hemophilia.
The ad appeared in a newspaper subscribed to 23,840 people. Following the advertisement, a discussion arose on social media.
(for context Estonian population is only 1,3 million)
We would like to emphasize that this project was completed in collaboration with media graphics students from the Estonian Academy of Arts. One of the major goals of the project was to give these students not only an opportunity to create their very first advertisement but to also make an impact, and we consider to be the greatest value.
Is there any cultural context that would help the jury understand how this work was perceived by people in the country where it ran?
Considering the small size of our country, such a newspaper circulation and also the visibility of our advertisements is very significant.
Estonian population is 1,3 million.
