The brief was to make consumers aware that Lemon Twist and Schweppes Sparkling Granadilla had changed their names to Twist Lemon and Twist Granadilla. None of the people we called were aware that the conversation was being recorded.

SFX: Phone ringing.MVO1: Hello.MVO2: Good morning. Can I speak to Mr Pieter Kruger please?MVO1: That’s him.MVO2: My name is Tolerance Maseko sir from the Department of Name Transformation. Your family owns a farm named Spekboom. Is that correct?
MVO1: YaMVO2: Yes Sir I just want to inform you that in line with the transformation the Department have decided to give the farm a new name. Now we’ve got a choice of either Sine'Clancla or Sine’Shasha MVO1: Ummm.MVO2: You can choose one or the other. Sine'Clancla would mean ‘fortunate’. Sine’Shasha would mean ‘we have trees’.
SFX: Silence.MVO2: Would you be happy with the first or the second one sir?SFX: Hung up phone.ANN: It takes time getting used to a new name. Lemon Twist is now called Twist Lemon. Twist Lemon. Put a twist in it.
