Describe the creative idea
Instead of talking about the features of the company's new smartphone, we decided to go with a set of fun illustrated GIFs showing them in unexpected ways: a duck laying eggs that become camera lenses; a never-ending zoom in to see a "message in a bottle"; a ball falling from the stairs and becoming the phone's dual camera; a girl on a bike speeding up just like the device's system; the negative of a girl on a beach showing the ultra dark mode; car at full throttle (for hyper boost); rocket launching for super fast charge. Every illustration in black, white, green, the company's colours.
Describe the execution
The GIF designs were developed in partnership with a production company aiming at keeping the same look and feel that has been used since the beginning by the in-house agency (regarding colours, style etc.). They were then uploaded on Giphy so people on every social media would have access to them. The idea of delivering the main features of the product in a new, fun way was to help build the brand, bring it closer to its target groups in every market where the company maintains a presence.
