Write a short summary of what happens in the radio or audio work.

An original song from Banda MS, one of the most famous band of corridos in the country tells, for the first time in history, the story of the heroes in a video game: Task Force 141 from the well-known saga of Call of Duty. The verse talks about the unit, and how we are all part of the one-four-one, then it talks about the members, Gaz, Ghost, Captain Price, Soap and the new character Alejandro Vargas, then the chorus sang for everyone to join the heroes, because every day the good guys are more. We are one four one, just like that.

Translation. Provide a full English translation of any audio.

I'm from 141 and here I come

They know that I'm after the Las Almas Cartel

Let's go strong, cowboys, yes sir

Gaz, taking care of the team and others

And Ghost no one knows where he is

Making war to get peace

My Cap, here's a cigar

you have all my respect

You've always been the tough guy

That's why I compromise

To fight for the team

Alarms went off

Squad we are ready

We are going to give them their karma

Hey Soap I need you

Your experience back us up

Poor of my enemies

Alejandro Vargas just arrived

We are one four one, just like that

Because every time the good ones grow

Tell the jury about the use of music

The idea used the same media that Corridos do: Songs and radio music streaming platforms, by using music as a media to enhance Spanish speaking gamers identity for the first time inside the Call of Duty lore. The idea fits perfectly as it was created to be distributed through music and audio platforms. It was also played during Banda MS’ concerts and everyone took it as their anthem while playing. Never has a videogame embraced a country’s culture like this, and it was possible only through a unique and beloved music genre.

Is there any cultural context that would help the jury understand how this work was perceived by people in the country where it ran?

Corridos was born during the Mexican Revolution to tell the stories of the rebels during the war. As time passed, the corridos started to tell stories of the country's heroes and villains. Even nowadays, contemporary Corridos sometimes tell stories of the bad people in the north of the country. With Corrido of Duty, people are thinking now about the good guys when listening to this music genre for the first time. Even thou they are inside a videogame.

It is the content with the most Spanish comments ever inside the CoD’s Global YouTube account and reached +8 new million users on YT. People took it as their anthem with +1000 hours of user-generated content on social media platforms (YouTube, Tik Tok, Instagram).

1.4 billion impressions and 1 million comments.
