We creatively introduce sculpture and installation art into the subway, communicate with consumers in a more three-dimensional and eye-catching way.
Background
Nanfu Battery Co. is an alkaline battery manufacturer and supplier. The company wishes to enhance its brand name and attract more consumers by way of producing a new campaign.
Describe the creative idea / insights
Nanfu Battery products are famous for their ability to provide extraordinary electric power, and that kind of energy reminds us of Shaolin Kungfu monks with great physical power.
Describe the strategy
Nanfu battery is a local brand in China, and Shaolin Kung Fu is also Chinese culture, it is one of the oldest, largest, and most famous styles of wushu, or kung fu. What they have in common is ‘powerful’, so we integrate the two together to arouse the resonance and national pride of Chinese consumers.
Describe the execution
In order to attract more people’s attention, we created a special poster in the subway stations. We chose the character of Shaolin Kungfu monks, combined their positioned body with their inverted body, made their heads embedded into the battery box, linked with springs. The sculpture of 1/1 scale Shaolin monks like a group of powerful human batteries,embedded and welded in a large steel installation of 5 meters high * 3 meters wide. This project symbolizes the rich energy provided by Nanfu Battery.
List the results
The project was released in subway stations in 3 cities including Shanghai, Guangzhou & Shenzhen.
3.8million people experienced the installation.
Over 200 media covered the campaign.
