'You Can’t Stop Us' is a 90 second split-screen film that seamlessly blends a series of sports archive footage with footage shot specifically for the ad.

The project features moments that have defined sport and culture with a collective of everyday and elite athletes, including Megan Rapinoe, LeBron James, Naomi Osaka, Eliud Kipchoge, Caster Semenya, Cristiano Ronaldo, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Serena Williams, Colin Kaepernick and Kylian Mbappé.

What was originally conceived as a global Olympics spot quickly evolved in reaction to the emergence of Covid and the BLM movement to be something much larger and universal that addressed the mood of the world.

Shooting new material involved a very technical and counterintuitive process of shooting to fit to brief snatches of sports coverage- so both action and camerawork were predetermined and had to be perfectly synced. We did thousands of hours of research and then had to balance improving matches with VFX, maintaining a key sense of imperfection to protect the magic in the feeling of synchronicity.
