Why is this work relevant for Brand Experience & Activation?
Through the design of a brand new Volkswagen model, we engaged people through Social Media to promote this activation and create awareness about cat abandonment in the streets.
Background
During Winter, abandoned cats look for shelter in the heat of car engines in order to survive the low temperatures. This is a very dangerous activity.
Describe the creative idea
We created a brand new Volkswagen model in which cats could overcome Winter comfortably and secure, away from car engines.
Describe the strategy
We impacted millions of people on Social Media through the generation of visual content about the Camper Cat installation at animal shelters and feral cat colonies.
Describe the execution
During International Cat Day, we launched The Camper Cat on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, and VW’s website. In addition, we physically installed it at the main animal shelters and feral cat colonies.
List the results
150 Camper Cats donated to animal shelters and feral cat colonies.
+80% more web traffic.
3,8 million people reached.
+320.000 interactions.
All cats participating in the campaign were adopted.
